THE CHURCHES and LANDSCAPES of KIZILCUKUR and GULLUDERE (Red and Rose Valleys)
(half day, morning or afternoon)
Pick-up from your pension. Our vehicle will drop us off a tour staring point in the valley of Zindanonu with its Church and pigeon homes. We’ll trek down the valley of Gulludere (Rose valley) and we’ll visit the church of Joachim and Ann, the church with the columns and the St. John’s church with three crosses. We’ll pass over a splendid view point to reach the valley of Kizilçukur (the red valley) whose colors and tufa formations are fascinating. We’ll visit the church of Ayvali. About 3:30 hours of walking.
Short drive back to your pension.

THE PIGEON HOMES of the CAT VALLEY
(half day, morning or afternoon)
Our vehicle will drop us in the off the beaten track village of Cat. We’ll hike for 4 hours down two valleys in a U-shape. The cliffs that line these valleys are full of pigeon homes several storeys high carved out of the rocks, some decorated with paintings to attract the pigeons. Their droppings were used and sold as a fertiliser.

From the ROCK OUTCROP of UCHISAR to the VALLEY OF PASABAG
(Full day)
We'll start off at the foot of the rocky outcrop of Uchisar from where there's a great view over the entire region. Then we'll walk along a small path overhanging the Baglidere valley with some lovely views over some of the most beautiful rock formations of the area, through some of the most spectacular landscapes of the area in the valleys of Baglidere, Kiliçlar, Meskendir, Kizilçukur and Güllüdere until the village of Cavusin where we'll explore a cliff full of rock houses.
We'll climb slowly to the top of Bozdag so as to reach some of the small valleys around Zelve and will finish the day in the valley of Pasabag with the most amazing fairy chimneys with multiple "hats". One can really see how these formations happened over the year. Short minibus ride to get back to your pension. 5-6 hours of walking.

FAIRY LANDSCAPES - the VALLEYS between GÖREME and UCHISAR
(Full day)
We'll drive through Gôreme and past the Gôreme museum to reach the plateau above the village. Then we’ll hike through the amazing landscapes of the valleys of Gemildere and the Pigeon valley to the rocky crop of Uçhisar (1000m) for a panoramic view of the area. 5-6 hours of walking.
