For this family, we organised tours that took into account the age of the children and combined fun activities with more traditional visits. The second part of the trip was spent in an all inclusive beach club near Antalya.
Day 1: 10 / 7 - Istanbul
Arrival at Istanbul Ataturk Airport. Transfer to your hotel. www.istanbulzagrebhotel.com, for 6 nights in 3 double rooms, hotel with swimming pool.
Day 2: 11 / 7 - Istanbul with a private guide
Meet up with your guide at the hotel in the morning. Short tram ride to reach the historic heart of the old city. Visit the Blue Mosque, with its impressive six minarets and magnificent interior adorned with blue tiles. Then visit the Topkapi Palace where Ottoman sultans lived until the nineteenth century. The treasure is phenomenal and reflects the power of the Ottoman Empire. After lunch, descend into the Basilica Cistern, called Yerebatan, then explore the Grand Bazaar, which has close to 4000 stalls!. Walk back to the hotel (10 min walk).
Day 3: 12 / 7 - Istanbul with a private guide and vehicle
Morning departure by minivan to visit the Mosque of Suleyman, the second largest mosque in Istanbul and by far the most impressive with its many annexes. It is a monument to its founder, better known by the nickname of "the Magnificent" and one of the major works of the great architect Sinan, the greatest of Ottoman architects. Then visit the beautiful Byzantine church of St Saviour in Chora. A little off the beaten track, this church offers some of the most beautiful frescoes and mosaics in the world. Lunch Break. In the afternoon, visit www.miniaturk.com.tr, an attraction park with miniature models of the major monuments from all over Turkey. Return to hotel.
Day 4: 13 / 7 - Istanbul with a private guide and vehicle
Morning departure from the hotel by minivan to the pier to take an hour and a half cruise on the Bosphorus. From the boat you’ll see: the Topkapi Palace, the Tower of Leander, the Dolmabahçe Palace, the Palace Ciragan, Yildiz Park, the beautiful Baroque Ortakoy Mosque and the suspension bridge between two continents. You’ll disembark in Sariyer, a village on the Black Sea where you’ll will join your driver and drive down the Bosphorus up to Ortakoy, a charming and romantic village of istanbuliotes at the foot of the suspension bridge.
In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Dolmabahce Palace, the last home of Ottoman sultans whose architecture and decoration rival Western palaces. Return to the hotel.
Day 5: 14 / 7 - Istanbul with a private guide and vehicle
Start your day with the visit of the majestic Hagia Sophia, built by Emperor Justinian in 320 AD.. Then oof to the Taksim district. Walk down the main street, Istiklal Avenue to the Galata Tower from the top of which you have a breathtaking view of Istanbul. Lunch in the Taksim district. In the afternoon, visit of the aquarium www.turkuazoo.com, to the delight of the children. Return to the hotel.
Day 6: 15 / 7 - Istanbul
Free day.
Day 7: 16 / 7 - Istanbul - AntalyaTransfer to the airport for your flight to Antalya. Upon arrival, transfer to your all inclusive concept hotel . www.sailorsbeachclub.com - 1 suite and 1 double room for 7 nights
Day 14: 23 / 7 - Antalya - Istanbul
Transfer to Antalya Airport for your return flight to Istanbul.
